Introduction:

Colorectal cancer is the third most common in the West with increasing incidence. The medical history and the complementary tests are the starting point in the diagnosis, control and monitoring of the patient to which the use of questionnaires is added. The aim of this work is to review the most used tools by the healthcare professional in the various stages of this disease, and for any evaluation/assessment in the clinical or work environment.

Methodology:

The experience of the authors with these questionnaires is reviewed in Medline without limiting the period of time. The keywords used in the search were: colorectal cancer and workplace, prevention, occupational risk, occupational health, valuation, return to work.

Results:

Different types of questionnaires and assessment methods can be used, always starting with the clinical history, specific assessments and complementary tests.

Conclusions:

Each one presents advantages and limitations, being in many cases complementary and requiring professional experience for its better management and adapted to specific objectives.
