Retroperitoneal extragonadal teratomas are rare entities that affect both sexes. They represent less than 5% of germline tumors. There are no exact incidence data in Mexico. Extragonadal germ tumors are malignant tumors that arise from embryonic precursors known as primordial germ cells, because they arise from stem cells they can exhibit a wide range of histologies. Treatment is based on surgery with complete resection and chemotherapy. In our case, we present a 30-year-old female patient who presented a mixed retroperitoneal extragonadal teratoma that required surgery followed by chemotherapy.
