TONDOPO MENDOZA, Yonalli. The revaluation of historical sites through psychogeographical study. Academia XXII [online]. 2023, vol.14, n.27, pp.84-105. Epub 18-Jun-2024. ISSN 2594-083X. https://doi.org/10.22201/fa.2007252xp.2023.27.85748.
The following document introduces the application of psychogeography as a study to increase awareness of the coexistence, and of the interrelation between society and historical sites, by using drift, a technique that allows spatial recognition and the emotional reactions that it causes. This paper invites one to practice it, to rediscover and to reconnect with historical sites, thus promoting the revaluation of these spaces. The aforementioned is presented through the use of the urban morphology methodology, proposed by Kevin Lynch (2008), to identify, in an orderly manner, the symbolic elements of these spaces, thereby promoting appropriation and, as a result, stimulating their conservation.
