This work reviews the recent evolution of the Rioplatense rural history. In general examines problems such a business, pattern invesment, rural enterprise and technological change. This article analizes the case of Justo José de Urquiza, a member of local powerfull elite of Río de la Plata. The focus is the rural enterprise, in approach microhistory, in Entre Rios between 1840 and 1870.
