The phenological stages of the Amarillo Dulce nance inflorescence were determined during the flowering phases and the reproductive cycles of the Mejorado selection. Inflorescence and fruit growth were measured as a function of the growing-degree-days (DD). The inflorescence grew 15 cm in length and required 413.6 DD that it covered in 48 d. The phenological phases were: 1) Swollen bud, 2) Spike, 3) Green ball, 4) Yellow ball, 5) Beginning of anthesis, 6) Full anthesis, 7) Full bloom and 8) Fall of petals. The growth of the fruit described a double sigmoid curve after 56 d and required 517.5 DD to reach an equatorial diameter of 18.3 mm. Three floral flushes were observed in one year, named according to their seasonal occurrence as: a) Fall bloom, b) Spring bloom and c) Summer bloom, which lasted 65, 61 and 57 d respectively. Three fruiting seasons resulted from the abovementioned flowering flushes in Spring, Summer and Winter, with a duration of 60, 54 and 32 d respectively, and a fruit yield of 2.7, 16.7 and 26.7 kg tree−1 respectively.
