Resumen
BISSO, Andrés y SESSA, Martín. Cabildos abiertos y fiestas andinas. Dos aplicaciones del análisis performativo para el estudio de los fenómenos sociales latinoamericanos. Alteridades [online]. 2005, vol.15, n.29, pp.103-124. ISSN 2448-850X.
This article evaluates the utility of the concept of performance to study different Latin American social phenomena. After giving a description of the genesis and development of the concept, the article applies this approach on two specific research areas: musicology (by analyzing some melodies which belong to Andean music on different performance situations) and Argentinean political history (by studying a case of political mobilization and representation: the Cabildo Abierto of Acción Argentina). The convergence in the use of the concept of performance lets us see remarkable recurrences in the construction of social facts, which would be hardly appreciated from other kinds of methodological approaches.
