Resumen
PAVON-CUELLAR, David. From revisionism to Freudo-Marxism: the Marxist Freudians in the origins of the western cultural revolution. Culturales [online]. 2017, vol.5, n.2, pp.239-285. ISSN 2448-539X.
This paper offers an overview of some crucial encounters between Marxism and psychoanalysis at interwar period. These encounters are characterized by a political revaluation of the psychic, subjective and singular: a revaluation that is at the origin of the western cultural revolution of the second half of the twentieth century, and precedes the flourishing of the personal and micro-political factors in feminism, youth movements, sexual emancipations and other struggles of the sixties and seventies. The paper discusses the Freudian revisions of Marxism in Henri De Man and Max Eastman, the Marxist appropriations of such revisions in Antonio Gramsci, José Carlos Mariátegui and Alfonso Teja Zabre, and the Freudo-Marxist proposals of Siegfried Bernfeld, Wilhelm Reich and Otto Fenichel.
