PENILLA ACASUSO, Izázkun G et al. Effects of the combination of collagen-PVP, over metaolism and cellular proliferation of gingival human cultivated fibroblasts. Rev. Odont. Mex [online]. 2008, vol.12, n.4, pp.184-191. ISSN 1870-199X. https://doi.org/10.22201/fo.1870199xp.2008.12.4.15626.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect that the Fibroquel has over the cellular proliferation and the metabolic activity from cultivated gingival fibroblasts all this in order to stablished which condition would be the ideal for its posterior use in different surgical procedure, because this drug has been used over 15 years for the treatment of several fibrosant pathologies and it has been shown the effects over the acceleration of the cicatrizal process. In order to reach this goals two cellular lines were derived from palatine zone biopsies from two patients. This cells were kept in standard conditions of culture, this cells were sub-cultivated until the fourth pass, one part of the population was frozen and another part were utilized for the proliferation and metabolic activity assays. The results of both assays shown that none of the fibroquel conditions tested affected the behavior of the culture cells, this in terms of it proliferation or metabolic activity, this lead us to assume that in the next investigation and clinical protocols the concentrations of this drug will be used like we did in this study.
