Resumen

GANDLER, Stefan. The Only Political Commitment of Critical Theory is Emancipation. Rev. filos. Univ. Iberoam. [online]. 2024, vol.56, n.156, pp.112-128.  Epub 17-Mayo-2024. ISSN 2954-4602.  https://doi.org/10.48102/rdf.v56i156.216.

This article is about the political commitment of the authors of Critical Theory. Many times they have been criticized (it still happens in current discussions) for not having been closer to some political group, some left-wing government, some party or union. In the context of this criticism I outline these reflections that try to demonstrate that their commitment to human emancipation could only be so unconditional due to a certain distance they maintained with the leftist organizations existing at their time.

Palabras llave : Critical theory; emancipation; left; political projects.
