GARCIA CANO, Sandra. Evolución de las técnicas de cooperación internacional entre autoridades en el derecho internacional privado. Bol. Mex. Der. Comp. [online]. 2005, vol.38, n.112, pp.75-109. ISSN 2448-4873.
International cooperation between authorities, traditionally linked to the phenomenon of international legal cooperation or assistance, experiences today a double-way process in the field of international private law, of crisis versus expansion, which demands an effort of reflection in order to understand its meaning and reach. On the one hand, there is a process of crisis, due to the fact that the scientific autonomy achieved by the sectors of international judicial competence and the extraterritorial efficacy of decisions, hinder further attempts to defend the intrinsic unity of international civil procedural law. On the other hand, there is a process of expansion, which has even put into question the fundamental basis of the tripartite or nuclear conception of private international law. In this way, the author of this essay analyses the evolution of the different techniques of international cooperation that have influenced private international law and, more in general, international law.
