ZAMBRANA TEVAR, Nicolás. El nuevo régimen español de arbitraje: Orígenes y perspectivas. Bol. Mex. Der. Comp. [online]. 2006, vol.39, n.115, pp.265-290. ISSN 2448-4873.
The new Spanish Law on Arbitration is inspired in a model Law from Uncitral and also includes certain new institutions in the area of arbitration since 1985. The main advantages observed by the author in this new law, has to do with the increased importance given to international arbitration, along with some precepts that turn arbitration more flexible and reduce the requirements for arbitration to be valid, such as the rules related to the decisions issued by arbitration panels. The author stresses the relevance of Spain's adhesion to the arbitration regime of the above mentioned model Law, because it has allowed more flexibility and simplicity in arbitration procedures and a legal regime close to common law procedures that will make international arbitration a better option for jurists, lawyers and their clients.
