The author of this study points out that globalization today does not only is related to transnational economic exchanges, but also to processes that affect States and individuals in other aspects. Among those processes one can find the increased access to the world-wide information systems, as well as the risks derived as a result such access, an example being electronic frauds that can be performed through the Internet, or the increased children pornography by way of its easy diffusion in the network. These are some of the challenges to which the criminal law has to face, overcoming the fact of not having been conceived for the globalization of crime, and thus being in the possibility of producing forceful legal solutions.
