DE CASTRO-CAMERO, Rosario. Ius commune: Fundament of the European and Iberomerican Common Law. Short Approximation. Bol. Mex. Der. Comp. [online]. 2010, vol.43, n.128, pp.671-700. ISSN 2448-4873.
Nowadays, the international Legal Science goes through a crisis period that, according to the author of this study, requires a return to the roots, to the Law sources. The legal creativity, requested to the elaboration of an international private law Code, demands to turn into the sources of the utrumque ius. There we can find the requisite common legal principles to approximate the different national laws. This work re quests the revision of the Roman Law sources per formed in the XIX century in Germany and the elaboration of new critic editions of the, in Europe and Iberoamerica, recently discovered manuscripts. Because of the difficulty and specialization of this sort of project, it is desirable the creation of interdisciplinary and international research groups.
