The last 40 years of deep economic and social transformation have generated new and heterogenous forms of transitioning from school to the workplace. They have diluted the classic, linear road that had heretofore dominated. Given the new context created by the spread of COVID-19, the way juvenile transitions display themselves has become an important subject matter in our current debates. This article is based on a cohort study following a group of young people who graduated in 2022 across various secondary schooling institutions within the Buenos Aires AMBA zone (Área Metropolitana del Gran Buenos Aires). Through a qualitative approach via virtual interviews carried out during the first months of lockdown, we were able to recover elements that enabled us to follow their transitions, continuing education and periods of suspension of activities as well as the new attribution of meaning for projects restarting in the current climate.
