Resumen
RAMIREZ HURTADO, Luciano. Rescuing Memory. An Iconographic Study of the Engraving The Convention of Aguascalientes, 10 October 1914. Relac. Estud. hist. soc. [online]. 2016, vol.37, n.148bis, pp.89-123. ISSN 2448-7554.
Based on the engraving elaborated by the artist Alberto Beltrán around 1946 at the installations of Mexico City's Taller de Gráfica Popular, this article seeks to rescue an episode of history that lies hidden behind the myth of the Mexican Revolution due to its relation with the political manipulation of discourses. From the perspective of iconographic analysis, my work examines how one element of the image of political power in contemporary Mexico was constructed at a key historical moment of national reconstruction and unity.
