The article is the outcome of a doctoral research, related to designing a model for the evaluation of Information Literacy (IL) in higher education. Different concepts of model are presented as the core of the proposal. Various experiences of other evaluation models applied to information literacy contexts internationally are examined. Finally, the theoretical and methodological principies that support the proposal are presented, its components and the relationship between them are also described. International experts evaluate the proposal.
