From systemic research about the artist's book it was found, among many other aspects, that in Mexico librarianship has not yet studied them in depth in order to catalog them as books with a bibliographic profile and value them as cultural-documentary heritage. This text addresses the environment of the artist's book, its presence in libraries and the aspects that make it a book document with heritage-cultural value.
