VALINOTTI, María Florencia. Local governments and the construction of territorial productive profiles. A case study (Córdoba, Argentina). Perf. latinoam. [online]. 2022, vol.30, n.60, 00004. Epub 31-Mayo-2024. ISSN 0188-7653. https://doi.org/10.18504/pl3060-004-2022.
The aim of this paper is to analyze the ways in which local government engage with the socio-economic actors of the territory for the construction of territorial productive profiles. Based on case study, a set of public policies was investigated, oriented to economic development, of two municipalities located in the south-central province of Córdoba, Argentina. Thus, it was possible to identify that the forms of government in the city differ according to the relevance acquired by territorial “extra-economic” assets for the logics of business accumulations itself. It is concluded that the empirical studies of small local localities constitute a central input to account for the specificities that local government acquire based on the varied articulations between the different agents that make up the territory.
