POZZI, Pablo y NIGRA, Fabio. ¿El fin de la globalización? La crisis económica de Estados Unidos. Polít. cult. [online]. 2010, n.34, pp.33-56. ISSN 0188-7742.
The piece presents a non-traditional perspective to globalization by defining it as a process designed by the United States to retain its global preeminence. To this end, successive US governments applied a series of policies, both on the domestic as well as on the international levels, which can be considered as the cause of the present world economic crisis. These policies sought to modify the US capital accumulation pattern so that they would consolidate a neoclassical economic structure as it arose in the 1980s. This is why the piece posits that the crisis will not produce structural transformations but, rather, it will preserve the process of capital concentration, regressive income distribution, and constant decay of labor conditions.
