Total hip arthroplasty is the intervention indicated when the symtomatology is severe and persistent that have failed other therapeutics. It aims to improve the quality of life, reduce pain and improve the function of the patient. However, it is a procedure that is accompanied by moderate to severe pain in the immediate postoperative period and a chronic pain prevalence of 10 to 35%.
