Evaluations of dasometric parameters are important to understand forest dynamics over time. The growth of tree variables was evaluated in natural temperate forests of southern Nuevo León, Mexico. For this purpose, the behavior of different dasometric parameters related to tree dimensions was analyzed. The records of all individuals with normal diameter greater than, or equal to, 7.5 cm, from two evaluations with a five-year interval (2013 and 2018) of permanent forest research plots were used. A dependent means comparison test analysis (t-Student) was performed on the dasometric variables between evaluations. The dasometric variables of the plots showed significant increases (p > 0.05) in the evaluations corresponding to a five-year interval, suggesting a continuous yield, so that, if a silvicultural treatment were applied in the future, their timber productivity would increase.
