Resumen

GOMEZ-QUINTERO, Juan David. Non Governmental and Nonprofit Organizations in Colombia: Depoliticization of Civil Society and State Outsourcing. Gest. polít. pública [online]. 2014, vol.23, n.2, pp.359-384. ISSN 1405-1079.

In Colombia, as in other Latin American countries, the third sector organizations have grown significantly. Some of them manage social projects promoted by the government, others avoiding contractual relationships with the State to maintain its independence and a few run both ways. This article discusses the trend whereby many organizations are undergoing a metamorphosis which "depoliticize" as civil society actors to participate in the outsourcing of the State. This occurs in the context of a political, social and armed conflict like Colombia that has characterized the past five decades. The research methodology includes an analysis of secondary sources on the evolution of the third sector in Colombia, especially the changes in Colombian organizations between 2007 and 2010 from changes in their legal nature, in the sectors involved, in the image of public opinion and in the management of financial resources.
