Resumen

SILVA GARCIA, J.E. et al. Structure and diversity of tree species in a Temperate forest of Northwestern Mexico. Polibotánica [online]. 2021, n.52, pp.89-102.  Epub 18-Oct-2021. ISSN 1405-2768.  https://doi.org/10.18387/polibotanica.52.7.

The objective of the study was to evaluate the structure and diversity of tree species in a temperate forest of Durango. The dasometric information was obtained from 55 sampling sites (1000 m2) considering: Normal diameter (Dn), Total height (H) and record of everyone. For each species abundance, frequency and dominance were evaluated through the basal area; In addition, IVI and IVF were calculated by family and species. The specific richness and diversity of species were estimated using the Margalef index (D mg ) and the Shannon True Diversity index (1 D). The Pretzsch (1998) index was used, locating three height strata (I, II, III). The results showed a specific richness of 29 species and a density of 299 Na ha-1 in the evaluated area. Stratum I showed the lowest density and richness of species with a total of 16 species and 8 Na ha-1, while stratum III obtained the highest values with 29 species and 230 N ha-1, the most dominant species were P. durangensis, P. douglasiana, P. oocarpa, P. herrerae and Q. crassifolia.
