Resumen

MARANDOLA JR., Eduardo; RAMALHO GUEDES, Gilvan  y  SILVA, Robson Bonifácio da. Mobility profiles in the metropolitan areas of the interior of Sao Paulo State, Brazil. Pap. poblac [online]. 2010, vol.16, n.66, pp.177-226. ISSN 2448-7147.

The pattern and organization of the urban network in metropolitan areas are complex, multiple and multi-dimensional. Also, are based in the high mobility, which diversifies the possibility of dwelling choices and access to several family service, thus interfering in the special redistribution processes of the population and on the urban-regional space structure itself. Seen the apprehension difficulties of these process, a methodology based in diffuse partitions was used, the Grade of Membership (GoM), to analyze the multi-dimensional profiles of home mobility based on data from a sampling study survey conducted in two metropolitan áreas in the interior region of the State of São Paulo. The analysis show that the mobility is directly affected by the cycle of life (in the home as well as the individual), by the migratory condition and the regional and intra-urban scales of the urban-metropolitan development.

Palabras llave : spatial distribution; urban agglomerations; region; everyday mobility; migration; grade of membership.
