This article analyzes the regulatory framework of the Industrial Promotion Law 19.640 of Argentina. This Regime is the longest one within the industrial policy of the country and the one that has determined important discussions around the direction of the stimuli and the productive specialization of the economy. The results aim to highlight the role of the normative framework, since these are the regulations that direct and implement the Promotion regime. In addition, clearly differentiated stages have been identified within it, which characterize specific directions of the industrial policy and concrete impacts on the real economy.
