Studies about trajectories offer a methodological option to allow deepening in the job related journeys developed by individuals in the employment market. Nonetheless, when undertaking a study of this kind, a wide variety of approaches, disciplines in ways of thinking, study objects and purposes are observed, making its understanding difficult. This article features the main tendencies guiding this kind of study and some theoretical and methodological elements found in its construction.
