This article presents the experience of the University of Valencia (UV) in training junior faculty since 2000, starting with the Course of Introduction to University Teaching- CIDU-and continuing with the current Diploma Research, Management and University Education (DIGEU). Specifically, it focuses on mentoring as a strategy to raise the training of junior faculty, part of a broader proposal, so the training program for mentors and the theoretical basis of their performance is presented in the case of the University of Valencia. Also reports of the evaluation plan of the program whose purpose is to provide quality information for their improvement. Finally, the results obtained in the evaluation of the same in the two editions as evidence of quality and dynamics of reflection and continuous improvement of the mentoring program used are given.
