The present study had as main objective the exploration and description of social representations that children of primary school fifth grade expressed on human rights. The study was conducted from a qualitative approach. It was carried out in the Rural Emiliano Zapata Elementary School community Xochiteotla, Chiutempan, Tlaxcala, México. The study population consists of 26 students between 11 and 12 years old. The results showed that children have a vision of human rights, built from its context, and embodied in people who fulfill a social function. While human rights also become things and situations that appear in your reality; both in its language and in its graphical representation.
