SANCHEZ REYES, Felipe. Sexual liberation in the early 20th century, through french women writers. LiminaR [online]. 2021, vol.19, n.2, pp.57-70. Epub 27-Sep-2021. ISSN 2007-8900. https://doi.org/10.29043/liminar.v19i2.843.
This article, which I have divided into two parts, is about three liberal women writers and one male writer. In the first, I discuss the start of the women’s revolution in Paris in 1900, through the texts of Nahui Olin, Colette, and Renée Vivien. In the second part, I review the boom of women’s liberation in 1920 through the works of Colette and Victor Margueritte. Through the French texts of these authors, I demonstrate how female sexual liberation evolved in Paris during two decades: 1900 and 1920. I rely on two theoretical specialists on the liberation and image of women: Bram Dijkstra and Erika Bornay.
