Resumen

CAMPIRAN SALAZAR, Ariel Félix. On the relationship between logic and critical thinking. Andamios [online]. 2019, vol.16, n.41, pp.175-195.  Epub 20-Mayo-2020. ISSN 2594-1917.  https://doi.org/10.29092/uacm.v16i41.721.

I propose that critical thinking and logic share three assumptions: they assume intuitions about reality, allow the agent to “believe” and perform rational activities around beliefs. I show two complementary activities when elucidating and knowing is about: the formal and conceptual-pragmatic practices of the agent; who intuits, believes, formalizes and satisfies methodological criteria to achieve certain virtues in his discourse and rational practice: Order in his thought, logical rigor, clarity and conceptual brevity, epistemic relevance in his affirmations, congruence thought-action. I compare the tasks of the logical and critical thinker, concluding that, if the agent doesn’t have developed thinking skills, he doesn’t achieve the construction of a vision of reality, represented in models and theories; something necessary in science.
