DIAZ GARCIA, Daniela Alejandra y OJEDA REVAH, Lina. La Reserva de la Biosfera Alto Golfo de California y Delta del Río Colorado: planeación territorial. Región y sociedad [online]. 2013, vol.25, n.58, pp.57-85. ISSN 2448-4849.
Natural Protected Areas (NPA) maintain an environmental, social, an economic relationship with the Influence Zone (IZ) that surrounds them, so that landscape transformation resulting from land use change in the IZ produces negative fluxes which may isolate the NPA. By monitoring structural changes in the Alto Golfo de California y Delta del Río Colorado NPA, and analyZIng territorial planning which regulates land use, it was found that fragmented urban growth, agricultural displacement, and contradictory land use planning instruments resulted in landscape deterioration, restrictions on the distribution of public services, and making land use administration more complex.
