PINA OSORIO, Juan Manuel; ESCALANTE FERRER, Ana Esther; IBARRA URIBE, Luz Marina y FONSECA BAUTISTA, César Darío. The competence-based model, Social representations of high school teachers. Tla-melaua [online]. 2017, vol.10, n.41, pp.158-178. ISSN 2594-0716.
The objective of the article was to know the social representations of teachers of a technological High school, about the notion of teaching competences, a pedagogical proposal of the Comprehensive Reform of Higher Education (RIEMS). In order to perceive these social representations, an interview script was designed and applied to seventeen teachers of different ages, seniority and gender.
A sector of teachers expressed clarity about the model and its acceptance; most ranged from confusion, obligation, self-sufficiency, resistance, and rejection. The results are important because the education authority has not evaluated the reform integrally: eight years after it was instituted, the results are unknown.
