New records allow describe the distribution of new populations, expand the distribution in different biotic region, and confirm the presence of the taxon in a different site. Between December 2017 and November 2018, we recorded eight adult individuals of the Giant Wren (Campylorhynchus chiapensis) in a locality south of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. These records extend by almost 80 km in a straight line, the range of their known distribution. The Giant Wren is considered endemic to Chiapas and subject to special protection in Mexico.
