The aim of this study is to compare the quality of housing in two sets pioneering architectural urban design, built in the first half of the twentieth century, to emphasize those strengths and weaknesses of overall urban design, and architectural prototypes of "minimal dwelling" which enabled raise their quality, from housing projects for low socio-economic class, to living spaces with high quality residential housing in the city. The mixed methodology contrasts the observable qualities of the home and the whole, with the feeling of users, and real evaluators of lived space, where quantitative divergences and convergences can characterize the elements of quality housing and his urban. As a result, past experiences, identify those elements which allowed the functional physical and socio-cultural appropriation of the house, through changes that contributed to improving housing quality, while converting the real object offered in symbolic object lived.
