Resumen

MARTINEZ LOZANO, Miguel. Biogas potentiality production using pig manure in Guanajuato state. Nova scientia [online]. 2015, vol.7, n.15, pp.96-115. ISSN 2007-0705.

The current energetic reform, as well as the world changes in the using and obtaining of electric and calorific energies, using alternative sources, has taken to replant and maximize the use and exploitation of biogas which is obtained from the manure of different types of cattle. The state of Guanajuato, owns an interesting number of cattle in the scope of bovine and pigs, which has originated the approach of the present article. In this work, it is presented a study in order to evaluate the energetic potentiality of the use of pig manures, to produce biogas and from that point to establish the electrical energy obtainable per year and the savings in the equivalent of oil barrels that could be obtained and the savings in gases like CO2. The study is made by dividing the state by municipalities and establishing the totals of every interest variable in the process. The indicators show that given the simplicity of biodigestors implementation to produce biogas, this is an interesting and important alternative to develop in the next years in the country. Particularly, the State of Guanajuato, have near of one million of pigs registered; with this quantity is possible to obtain potentially enough energy to supply the requirements of an approximate of 60,000 standard homes in México.

Palabras llave : biogas; pig manure; alternative sources of energy; anaerobic biodigesters; energetic reform.
