The objective of this text is to present a proposal for a systemic approach to the phenomenon that digital ecosystems originate in the actions of university students regarding their learning and the interaction that occurs between students, teachers, content, and media. This epistemic referent allows an observation and explanation approach for the connection between individuals and their context, highlighting the interaction and reciprocity in the feedback that is generated through different mediation channels that evolve within an environment. The proposal is based on a system composed of observable elements such as technological skills, the 4C, transversal competencies, infrastructure of institutions, social and emotional factors as well as the roles of students and teachers. In this sense, the research produced from this proposal will involve a comprehensive understanding of a phenomenon, deriving data related to each other from the systemic view of the researcher, the results obtained will pay to the field of knowledge of digital ecosystems and the applicability of the systemic approach in the educational field.
