Resumen

SOL TLACHI, Carlomagno. Rubén M. Campos y el contexto literario en la Ciudad de México. Valenciana [online]. 2011, vol.4, n.8, pp.95-116. ISSN 2007-2538.  https://doi.org/10.15174/rv.v0i8.216.

This paper contextualizes and provides general characteristics of the literary work of the writer of modernist affiliation Ruben M. Campos. The contextualization is realized starting from the following of modernist evolution in three moments: its beginning with Manuel Gutierrez Najera as main figure and founder of the Revista Azul, publication in which was born the second moment, the decadent movement, with the publication of the Revista Moderna, directed by Jose Juan Tablada. The decadent movement was a reaction against modernity, poured in the poet’s constant search of the creative renovation, developed in the bohemian atmosphere. Here it is where the figure of Ruben M. Campos develops, topic that the article explores and describes in depth.

Palabras llave : modernism; decadent movement; modernity; twentieth-century Mexican literatura.
