Based on the idea that the debt, beyond its strict economic character, has a closer elation with the moral and subjectivity, whit the logics of power and social control, with the time and the future, we analyze the characteristics of the occasioned subjectivity and role that fulfills with governance and control in neoliberalism. In addition, starting from the hypothesis of Walter Benjamin, concerning the acknowledgment of capitalism as a religion, we try to highlight thelogic of sacrifice inherent to neo-liberalism and the role fulfilling the debt mechanism.
