GRANT-ALPIZAR, Daniela; RAMIREZ-QUESADA, Wagner; BARAHONA-GARCIA, Ricardo y AVENDANO-ALVARADO, Gerardo. Gastric perforation secondary to cardiopulmonary resuscitation: A case report. Endoscopia [online]. 2019, vol.31, n.4, pp.173-175. Epub 01-Nov-2021. ISSN 2444-6483. https://doi.org/10.24875/end.19000019.
Abdominal complications such as gastric distention and mucosal tears secondary to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are not uncommon, however, gastric perforation is very unusual, and its endoscopic evidence is anecdotical. A case of a 58-year-old man with gastric perforation and upper gastrointestinal bleeding is presented, in which prolonged CPR was performed due to out-of-hospital sudden death.
