Resumen

MEJIA-URIARTE, Elsi Violeta  y  MURRIETA S., Héctor Octavio. Autorganización de nanoestructuras luminiscentes: sus formas y dimensiones. Mundo nano [online]. 2015, vol.8, n.14, pp.81-91.  Epub 28-Mayo-2021. ISSN 2448-5691.  https://doi.org/10.22201/ceiich.24485691e.2015.14.52515.

Self-organization is the process by which the participating elements are grouped in ordered and functional structures. By the intrinsic properties of the components and the environmental conditions these new structures can only grow to some size being of the nanometric order, they are known as nanostructures (NS), and, consequently, can be configured in different bi and three-dimensional geometric forms such as: Spheres, rings, cubes, prisms, rods and other forms. The alkali halides are materials that allow the diffusion of ions in its structure, for this we use them as host for luminescent NS formation, which have been formed by the impurification with divalent impurities such as europium (Eu2+) or manganese (Mn2+) ions, for example. The shape and size of the NS influence strongly on the wavelength of absorption, emission and excitation. Being very important so the study on the impurity type and the conditions in which they organize to form different NS, which can be used as sensor and/or light-emitting for potential devices at nano-optoelectronic.
