Resumen

CHAVEZ LECUANDA, Marco Aquiles  y  CORTES LOPEZ, José Isaac. The materializing line as a method of designing posters. Case study: Posters We Are Water. Zincografía [online]. 2018, vol.2, n.3, pp.5-28.  Epub 09-Oct-2020. ISSN 2448-8437.  https://doi.org/10.32870/zcr.v0i3.37.

The present work intends to show the conceptualization method for the generation of graphic products called materializing line, developed by Abelardo Rodríguez (1996). It is a way of sketching considering previously selected concepts based on objective criteria related to the analysis of the receiver and the various iconic and linguistic elements involved, which allows the development of a relevant graphic proposal. From our point of view, this method allows to carry out in an organized manner the conceptual process for the development of graphic products. In this case, it was adapted to the poster, since it is the subject in which it has been applied since 2004 in the design degree for graphic communication of the Center of Art, Architecture and Design of the University of Guadalajara. To show the method, the posters of some professors of the aforementioned degree were analyzed, which followed the materializing line in their creative process. The posters were prepared in 2015 for an exhibition on World Environment Day.

Palabras llave : Poster; design process; method; materializing line.
