Erythrolamprus sagittifer is distributed in Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. It is an oviparous, diurnal and generalist species. Geranoaetus albicaudatus is widely distributed from Texas to Argentine Patagonia and feeds on a wide range of vertebrates and invertebrates. We present the first documented record of predation of E. sagittifer by G. albicaudatus in the Province of Neuquén, Argentina.
