This article aims to show the phenomenon of gangs within the indigenous community of Angahuan. Indigenous gangsters are people, most of them young, who have been deported from the United States to their place of origin and who, on their arrival to their original community, modify the behavior they had acquired on the "other side" thanks to the social fabric and dynamics of their people by including them in their religious festivals and family duties; moreover, these "returning homies" find themselves in an economic situation that not only prohibits them from continuing with the addictions they acquired during their stay in the country's northern neighbor, but also obliges them to insert themselves into the daily activities, thus gradually guiding them away from any possible criminal actions.
