Resumen

BELTRAN, Eulalia Ma. et al. INFLUENCIA DE LA FERTILIZACION CON LODOS DE DEPURADURA COMPOSTADOS EN LAS PROPIEDADES QUIMICAS DEL SUELO DE DOS OLIVARES. Rev. Int. Contam. Ambient [online]. 2005, vol.21, n.3, pp.143-150. ISSN 0188-4999.

Due to the interest in the olive culture, on one hand, and the necessity for using sewage sludge compost from central Spain, on the other hand, an experiment has been conducted during four years. It has been proved the viability of the utilization of sewage sludge compost on chemical properties of two olive grove. The experiment was set up with Olea europaea cv. cornicabra. Four treatments were set up: a) Control (T); b) 16,000 kg/ha of sewage sludge compost (LDC); c) 1 kg of N as urea per tree; (U); d) 8,000 kg/ha of sewage sludge compost + 0.5 kg of N as urea per tree, (LDC +U). The variables in study were: organic matter and nitrogen concentration in soil, available phosphorus concentration in soil, pH and electric conductivity. The utilization of sewage sludge compost has produced an increment of the studied therefore it could be concluded that the chemical properties of the olive grove soil are improved.

Palabras llave : Olea europaea; sewage sludge; compost; olive grove.
