Physical, psychological, social and emotional conditions that surround the person throughout his life, affect their quality of life and if this a functional limitation adds, makes this perception is negative, since it requires care and dependence on his family. In Antioquia Colombia was conducted a study prevalence on 4 248 people aged 60 and older, where 78.4 por ciento felt that their quality of life was good / excellent; but the perception of poor quality of life is more associated with women, seniors with low or no schooling, who have cognitive impairment, have few relationships and receive a bad state of health, which can lead them to demand more family care, society and institutions.
