The July 12, 2012, the Progressive Movement coalition that took the citizen Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador as a presidential candidate for Mexico, filed a lawsuit of disagreement, arguing that it violated Article 41 Constitutional requiring elections in Mexico are free and genuine, so that the presidential election be declared invalid. The Electoral Tribunal of the Judiciary of the Federation in Mexico, which is the maximum resolution mechanism electoral disputes in this regard, was the authority responsible for validating the election and publish the final results of the presidential election. The Judgment of disagreement was asked literally: "the nullification of the election [...], requesting a declaration of non-validity [...] for violation of the constitutional principles of free suffrage and genuine elections and the cancellation of the registration of candidate c. Enrique Peña Nieto's campaign stops overshoot". In this judgment are relevant issues that are analyzed from the perspective of international law of human rights.
