This article proposes a reflection on the movement of contemporary Brazilian literature in Latin America, and also, the publication of contemporary literature of other countries in Latin America in Brazil. From Mario Bellatin's fiction and a Darcy Ribeiro's theoretical text, this paper speculates about the feeling of belonging and the limits of a geographical continental conformation that has several sociopolitical structures coexisting without living together.
