This essay deals with the contradictory dynamics that are generated between the development and the migratory process in a Moroccan rural community (the Ait Haddidou group in the oriental High Atlas). Our main goal is to demonstrate how in this group both mobility and immobility had become surviving strategies in a way that accumulates numerous problematic. In this underdevelopment transformation context, the international migration becomes a major force in the peoples imaginary, though its materialization is yet scarce. Nevertheless, all the process (increasing communication with the exterior, ong's intervention, tourists arrivals) points to a migration increase in the next years, while there has been weaved new nets and development appears with modernization whitout considering its high costs.
