Resumen

AGUILAR VIQUEZ, Fidencio. The Other Voice: Octavio Paz and the Notion of Otherness. Rev. filos.open insight [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.10, pp.27-59. ISSN 2395-8936.

Facing the disenchantment of our current time, distinguished by the rule of market and technology, humanity is called to hear "the other voice". This is, firstly, that of the self, the interiority, secondly, the other, through fraternity, and, thirdly, the awareness of finitude. Such is the experience of otherness that is present through poetry and that takes place in the poem, where the author and the reader encounter through language. This is the anthropological proposal of Octavio Paz and certainly his most relevant contribution to contemporary thought.

Palabras llave : Interiority; Language; Octavio Paz; Otherness; Poetry.
