Resumen

EXPOSITO ROPERO, Noé. Limits of the Gadamer’s Interpretation of Phenomenology. Rev. filos.open insight [online]. 2017, vol.8, n.14, pp.91-116. ISSN 2395-8936.

The aim of the present papers is to show, in the first place, Gadamer’s interpretation of Husserl’s phenomenology, with a special emphasis on the critique it received. The occasion to do so is the recent appearance of The phenomenological movement. Secondly, we point at how Gadamer’s reading of Husserl is marked by a series of prejudices and misunderstandings that prevent him from understanding phenomenology properly, and hence his failed critique to Husserl’s phenomenology is due to that misinterpretation. To conclude, we briefly explain the relevance of this problem for the current philosophical debate.

Palabras llave : Husserl; Gadamer; Heidegger; transcendental phenomenology; intersubjectivity.
